At around 4 pm on March 30, 1975, James Urban Ruppert woke up. James loaded his magnum, along with .22 caliber handguns and a rifle. He went downstairs to the kitchen, and shot and killed his brother, Leonard Jr., his sister-in-law, Alma, and his mother, Charity. Then, he shot three of Leonard's children, Carol, Teresa, and David.
