PPointing out a few before we hop right into today’s theme town. There are lots of them. Pella, Iowa for example, is all about the Tulip Time Festival, and Mount Airy, North Carolina is basically a recreation of the Andy Griffith Show with a Mayberry courthouse you can visit. And then, New Glarus, Wisconsin is themed after Switzerland. Lily Dale, New York is home to so many psychics. Outsiders go to Lily Dale just to hang out with the psychics. And of course, the villages in Florida. No one living there could be under 19 and at least one member of every house has to be over 55. One of the weirdest ones known is Thames Town, China, which is located in Songjiang. It is a simulated British city.

Today’s article definitely fits amongst these ranks but has a much more amphibious theme.

If you are driving through a tiny town called Willimantic over in Eastern Connecticut, you might notice things are getting a little froggy in more ways than one. There are lots of local businesses that are named after frogs. You’ll see frogs on logos, you’ll see different statues of frogs. Even graffiti artists are spraying frog art around on the local building walls. There’s a borough of Willimantic called Windham. And if you go to Windham, you will see this frog stuff turned up even further.
